Matt Alhaery is the Vice President of Marketing Sciences at Penn Schoen Berland. He has over 15 years of experience in data mining, statistical analysis and predictive analytics; he specializes in combining and examining customers' transactional, attitudinal and demographic information to develop complete and coherent profiles. Matt has led predictive analytics projects a wide variety for telecommunications, retail and distribution clients.
Matt came to PSB from IBM, where he taught data mining and predictive analytics for SPSS in the Smarter Planet initiative. Previously he led the worldwide analytics practice at Marriott Vacation Club International as its Director of Analytical Strategy. Before Marriott, he was he Director of Data Mining at Caesars Entertainment, where he helped predict customers' future behavior though the use of segmentation, classification and associational modeling.
Matt attended the University of Texas at Arlington, with undergraduate work in Computer Engineering and graduate work in Industrial Engineering, specializing in operations research and statistics. He has deep theoretical knowledge of segmentation techniques including K means, Two Steps, and Kohonen. Certified in SPSS and Data Mining, he holds advanced MBA certification from Tulane University's Freeman School of Business.
