Mark Burles is a Vice President of Penn Schoen Berland, Seattle.

An experienced market research professional specializing in market assessment, positioning, and corporate audience insights, he ahs deep experience researching highly competitive technology markets in North America and worldwide. His work experience has focused on how technology can drive business as well as its implications for public policy.

Mark has worked in the market research industry for over ten years, holding senior positions in the past with Ipsos Public Affairs and Gartner Custom Research. Mark's career also includes experience working purely in the public policy realm with the Rand Corporation.

Mark graduated cum laude from Whitman College with a BA in History; he also holds an MA in International Relations from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies. He also holds a certificate in Chinese Language & Literature from the Beijing Foreign Language Institute.
