Robert "Mick" McWilliams, PhD
ROBERT "MICK" MCWILLIAMS, PhD, Senior Director - Marketing Sciences, earned his PhD in Sociology, with emphasis on behavioral science research methodology, from Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University. He has since accrued more than 20 years of experience applying advanced quantitative research design and data analysis methods in meeting decision support needs for marketing research clients.
Mick has deep experience with both sides of the marketing research industry, having worked for 14 years on the "supplier side" and for nine years on the "client side." He spent seven years with Microsoft Corporation, including several years as the foremost provider of market research support for Microsoft Office product planning. His last position with Microsoft was as Senior Marketing Research Manager - Strategic Research Projects for MSN (now the OSG business group). Prior to joining Microsoft in 1995, Mick held positions on both the supplier and client sides, in which he designed and managed marketing research projects for clients in the consumer products, telecommunications, computer and financial services industries, among others.
Mick has long experience and strong expertise in both qualitative and quantitative marketing research methods. He is an experienced focus group moderator, and his quantitative research and analysis capabilities are particularly strong, especially in multivariate analysis, advanced conjoint applications and segmentation modeling. | top |
