E. Kinney Zalesne

Kinney Zalesne is the co-author, with Mark Penn, of Microtrends: The Small Forces Behind Tomorrow’s Big Changes (Twelve, 2007).  Kinney Zalesne first worked with Mark Penn on the 1996 Clinton-Gore campaign, and returned to Penn, Schoen and Berland Associates in 2005 to co-write Microtrends and to serve as a Senior Consultant for key firm clients including Hillary Clinton.

From 2000-05, Kinney Zalesne was President and Executive Vice President of two national social-change organizations:  College Summit, which helps low-income students go to college; and Hillel: The Foundation for Jewish Campus Life.

Kinney Zalesne has also served as Counsel to U.S. Attorney General Janet Reno, and as a White House Fellow with Vice President Gore.

Kinney Zalesne is an honors graduate of Harvard Law School and Yale University.  She lives in Washington, DC, with her husband and their three children.
